WWE Money in the Bank in Chicago, Illinois: July 17, 2011
The 2011 version of Money in the Bank featured the usual two ladder matches to determine title challengers, but the focus was on the main event: CM Punk challenging John Cena for the WWE  World Heavyweight Championship. Punk had threatened to leave the company with the championship should he win — and he kept his promise. More on that later this week.
Even with such a marquee match up, the Money in the Bank poster featured the ridiculous bedtime story theme with Big Show and Hornswoggle. No wonder Big Show is an angry giant now.
