Mankind wins the WWF Championship in a three-way match with Triple H and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin with Jesse “the Body” Ventura at SummerSlam: August 22, 1999
Mick Foley’s WWF Championship reign was short lived. The next night on Raw — in Ames, Iowa, — I witnessed Triple H win his first WWF World Championship, taking the title from Mrs. Foley’s Baby Boy.
At SummerSlam — with then Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura serving as referee — Foley walked away with the richest prize in wrestling after double-arm DDTing Austin for the pin. The triple-threat match was a good one (23rd best in SummerSlam history). The match was surreal with Ventura reprising his role as special referee, which he originally did at the very first SummerSlam in the main event between the Mega Powers and the Mega Bucks.
In a Greenwich Street Fight, Test beat Shane McMahon and won the heart of Stephanie McMahon (well, temporarily).Shane didn’t approve of their love — and her heart would later belong to Triple H.WWE.com called it the 24th best match in SummerSlam’s history.
Billy Gunn getting at least one more match in WWE: August 1, 2012
We haven’t seen the last of Mr. [Bleep] in WWE. Figure Four Weekly says Billy Gunn impressed the higher ups, and we may be getting “at least one match, and perhaps the [New Age] Outlaws” in a tag match. No need for the two words. I’m down with that.
Outrageously priced vintage wrestling item of the week: The Smoking Gunns’ 1995 foam cowboy hat
Love those horse-riding Gunn boys? For just $220 (plus $13.17 shipping), you can show your appreciation for Billy and Bart with the cowboy hat in the picture. But you better act quick, this eBay auction expires in a little more than 16 hours. The hat is listed as a “buy it now or best offer,” and it looks like two offers have already been rejected.
Don West probably couldn’t sell someone on this deal — and that guy could sell anything.

The New Age Outlaws and X-Pac reunited with Shawn Michaels and Triple H on Raw 1,000: July 23, 2012
Love the WCW invasion tank.
D-Generation X reunites for Raw 1,000: July 23, 2012
DX, everyone but “Ravishing” Rick Rude and Chyna, reformed for one night only. Good to see everyone, even X-Pac and the New Age Outlaws. Even cooler to see them ride out on the tank used to invade WCW.
Damien Sandow ate Sweet Chin Music and a Pedigree.
