John Cena defeats Dolph Ziggler on Raw: January 7, 2013
Cena and Ziggler had a competitive match, kicking out of each other’s finishers. Cena won, not with the STF, but an Attitude Adjustment.
Ziggler looked strong. Earlier on Raw, Ziggler added himself to the list of Rumble entrants. The Rumble is really shaping up to be a good one with Sheamus, John Cena and Randy Orton also in.
Watch the end of the match after the jump.

John Cena replaces Fred Flintstone on the cover of Fruity Pebbles: January 7, 2013
The Dr. of Thuganomics is going to be on 4 million boxes. Cena shouldn’t be fighting The Rock. He should be thanking him for the endorsement deal.
Advertising Age reports that WWE also has a deal with Irish Spring. Just a guess here, fella, but could Sheamus be the man?

The Rock returns to WWE on Monday Night Raw: January 7, 2013
The Brahma Bull has been dropping hints about his WWE return. I expect Rock to defend (and lose) the WWE Championship to John Cena at WrestleMania. I also expect Cena to win the Royal Rumble — it gets WWE out of the “once in a lifetime” tag from last year’s ‘Mania.
The Rock is playing coy with what will happen on the Road to WrestleMania. Here’s what he told Showrenity:
"The storyline will be that starting this Monday, I’m gonna go back, and it’s going to be a big return.  That will lead to, hopefully, what will be the biggest WrestleMania of all-time at Giants Stadium.  I will headline that show with someone who I can’t say right now.  We’ve got an amazing four months lined up and planned out that will culminate in the biggest WrestleMania of all-time.  It’s going to be a hell of a thing."
Can’t wait.

The Rock featured in the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view poster: January 6, 2013
If/when the Great One wins the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, he’s expected to defend the strap at February’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Great news as The Rock should be around for much of the ‘Mania build.
I’m starting to believe WWE is building to a Ryback vs. Big Show World Heavyweight Championship match at WrestleMania (the match has been rumored, but I haven’t heard anyone say it’d be for the belt). I could see WWE finally pulling the trigger on a Ryback championship during the grandaddy of them all.
Where does this leave Dolph Ziggler? I’m not sure. Could he cash in on the WWE title once Cena gets it? Why not?

CM Punk’s 365-day WWE Championship reign recapped in highlight video: January 2, 2013

Punk has been the best in the world for a full year. Will his reign end Monday at the hands of Ryback? My guess is no. But Punk will have a hard time getting past The Rock at the Royal Rumble.

The animated Art of Wrestling podcast, featuring CM Punk and Colt Cabana, now with an alternative ending: December 21, 2012

I really enjoyed these shots, especially with all of the cameos by stars throughout wrestling history. It’s also fun to hear Punk and Cabana discussing John Cena, who Cabana thought hated him. And now, we get an alt-ending, featuring an Avengers-style battle and post-credits extra scene.

Daniel Bryan, Kane, John Cena and Layla meet The Muppets on Tribute to the Troops: December 19, 2012

This is one reason that I hope the Attitude Era never comes back. You can’t do choppy-choppy your peepee with The Muppets on the show. Nor should you.

Big E. Langston debuts, destroys John Cena on Raw: December 17, 2012
AJ Lee brought out Langston, the current NXT Champion, who proceeded to rip through Cena, ending the Cena and Vickie Guerrero vs. Dolph Ziggler and AJ mixed-tag match.
If I remember right, Langston was seen benching 500-plus pounds in Cena’s WrestleMania hype video last year. Now he’s wearing hand-me-down, Nation of Domination tights. At least he made a strong debut.
Dolph Ziggler was left looking confused. Hopefully we’ll get more answers tomorrow night on SmackDown.

AJ Lee kisses Dolph Ziggler on Raw: December 17, 2012
AJ offered no explanation for dumping John Cena off the ladder and allowing Dolph Ziggler to retain the Money in the Bank contract last night. But she did make out with Ziggler, who is now broken up with Vickie. And the main event of Tuesday night’s live, commercial-free SmackDown on USA — Ziggler and AJ vs. Vickie and Cena — whoops, it’s Ziggler and Big Show vs. Cena and Sheamus. Guessing the tag match is tonight?
The break up had to happen. I’d still like AJ to offer some explanation — Cena apologized for kissing her, acted like he didn’t want to be seen with her in public. He pretty much treated her like she was beneath him. So, she cost him something he wanted.
