Dusty Rhodes gets a new TV Title and talks about “risky business”
clubberin:

“Every time I look across the ring and see a different opponent, it reminds me of standing by a dark, dangerous river, and looking across into a bold new land, and baby, that’s risky business.”

"Former WCW star the legendary Mortis" (aka the late Chris Kanyon) advertised for NWA Jersey show: October 18, 2012
Of all the classless things done by wrestling promoters, advertising a dead wrestler is near the top. Kanyon has been dead since April 2010.
Shane Helms posted this photo on Twitter and took promoter Ricky Otazu to task.
"Mortis aka Chris Kanyon passed away tragically years ago, and this company is using his pic to advertise an imposter.
"It takes a LOT to get to me. This legit has offended me. No class at all.
"If anyone can get me info on this guy claiming to be Mortis I’d appreciate it. Thank you."
Also advertised … “WWE legends the Machines.” Helms called out Otazu on that too.
"Plus I see you’re promoting The Machines as well. Since Hogan and Eadie aren’t on the show, you resurrecting Andre too?? @Dagoon44”
“Who’s on your next show? Savage? Benoit? Oh, it’s only masked dead guys, Blue Blazer then? @Dagoon44”
An unscrupulous promoter? No way!

This would make a pretty impressive stable.

"Ravishing" Rick Rude wins the WCW International World Heavyweight Championship from Ric Flair: September 19, 1993
I don’t remember this match from Fall Brawl ‘93 at all. I know it came at the time of WCW’s split from the NWA, but this may have been a brief — very brief — period when I got out of wrestling. It didn’t last.

"Ravishing" Rick Rude wins the WCW International World Heavyweight Championship from "Nature Boy" Ric Flair: September 19, 1993

Rude out dirtied the dirtiest player in the game at Fall Brawl ‘93.

Odd ending with the ref distracted by the Nature Boy’s maid while Flair had Rude locked in the figure four. The Ravishing One took the opportunity to hit Flair with brass knux and get the pin. Glad Rude got a shot with the big gold belt. Still wish he’d gotten a major heel run with the Hulkster in WWF.

SnakeMaster Abudadein, Kevin Sullivan, Fallen Angel (Nancy Benoit) and Sir Oliver Humperdink: 1986
Here’s that photo blown up (I believe I read that it’s from the Associated Press). Sullivan, Nancy and the others played up a Satanists gimmick, which I imagine would have been super controversial in 1980s America. Sullivan and Nancy looked like they should have been airbrushed on the side of a van or on the cover of Heavy Metal.
C’mon, wrestling. More Satanists!
